We built the software we wished existed for security teams.

Patrovix was founded on a simple observation: security companies run critical operations on spreadsheets, WhatsApp, and paper. That needs to change.

Why we started

The problem was hiding in plain sight.

Security is one of the UK's most operationally complex industries. Guard companies manage a constantly changing mix of shifts, sites, client contracts, compliance requirements, and an often large, dispersed workforce. Yet the typical technology stack is a rota in a spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group for communications, emailed timesheets, and paper BS7858 forms in a filing cabinet.

The consequences are real: missed compliance deadlines, last-minute scheduling crises, untracked incidents, manual report writing, and clients who have no visibility into what they are paying for.

Patrovix was founded to replace that with a single, purpose-built platform that gives every stakeholder in a security operation — manager, guard, client, subcontractor — exactly the tools and information they need, in one place, in real time.

The UK security industry is governed by some of the most detailed workforce regulations in Europe. The BS7858:2019 standard mandates comprehensive vetting for every guard: identity verification, DBS criminal record checks, right-to-work documentation, five years of verified employment history, address history, professional references, medical assessment, and ongoing SIA licence monitoring. The compliance burden is significant, and the consequences of non-compliance — loss of ACS accreditation, regulatory exposure, or client contract termination — are serious.

Patrovix was designed from the ground up to meet these requirements. Rather than adapting a generic workforce management tool or treating compliance as an afterthought, we architected the platform around the BS7858 vetting workflow. Compliance is the foundation — scheduling, incident reporting, timesheet management, and client visibility are all built on top of it, and all surface compliance status where it matters most.

We are a lean, focused team building deliberately. Every feature we ship is validated with real security operations professionals before it enters the product. We do not build for edge cases or hypothetical markets — we build for the operations managers, HR leads, and compliance officers who are running live security businesses in the UK today.

Built for the UK

UK compliance built in, not bolted on.

Most workforce management platforms are built for generic, office-based teams and then adapted — often inadequately — for security. Patrovix starts from the other direction: we built for the unique legal and operational context of UK security operations first.

That means BS7858:2019 is a first-class citizen in our data model, not a checkbox. SIA licence verification is a live API integration, not a manual field. Right-to-work checks follow UK employment law requirements. Shift rules reflect Security Industry Authority guidance. The platform speaks the language of UK security operations because it was built by someone who has worked in them.

We are also building with future expansion in mind. The compliance engine is designed to support additional standards and jurisdictions — but our launch focus is squarely on the UK security sector, where the need is clearest and the gap in purpose-built tooling is most acute.

Full digital vetting workflow covering every required section of the standard. Tracks status per section, generates audit-ready records, and activates guards only when fully compliant.

SIA Licence Verification

Live API connection to the Security Industry Authority register. Verifies licence number, role, sector, status, and expiry in real time — stored against the guard's compliance profile automatically.
